Responsible for providing marketing management for smaller events and workshops as well as marketing support for larger conferences

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Develops and implements comprehensive marketing plans for smaller events and workshops that include direct mail, email, web site merchandising optimization, social media and search engine marketing. Tracks to revenue goals and marketing expense allocations for those events
  2. Responsible for assisting product marketing managers in executing various integrated communication and marketing activities for larger conferences including direct mail, fliers, email campaigns, tele-sales, trade shows and exhibits, public relations, customer communications, advertisements, promotions, procuring content, competitive research, and other marketing plans.
  3. Interprets data analytics about past conference attendees to develop a unique and compelling prospectus and other supportive materials for each major conference with the goal of helping the exhibit sales team acquire new exhibitors and sponsors.
  4. Tracks overall revenue goals for exhibits and coordinates communications with our exhibit sales partner.
  5. Conducts periodic market research with past and present exhibitors and sponsors to evaluate value of current offerings and recommend incremental improvements.
  6. Ensures consistent tracking of marketing campaigns in our marketing operations database; analyzes response to tactical marketing changes and helps evolve our approach from a marketing, sales, and offer perspective.
  7. Responsible for coordinating set up of promotion codes for the conferences and channel teams.
  8. Develop process documentation for internal marketing functions.
  9. Attends trade-shows as needed.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.) from four-year college or university; or less than one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, Marketing Operations on Demand (MOOD), Atlassian (JIRA), and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
