  • Summary

    Responsible for managing CPA.com account management team, and for helping to develop and execute CPA.com’s sales strategies and programs. Responsible for direct management of CPA.com account managers, and day-to-day activity of strategic/enterprise account managers. This position’s objectives are to grow organizational revenues, increase and maintain the sales organizations’ productivity, and to drive adoption of CPA.com’s products and solutions by performing the following duties.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Supervises CPA.com account management team (account managers and strategic/enterprise account managers.*
    2. Participates in CPA.com senior leadership team meetings.*
    3. Formulates forecasting based on CPA.com sales pipeline and closing metrics.*
    4. Assists in determining commission structure.*
    5. Responsible for being involved in hiring and firing decisions within the CPA.com account management organization.*
    6. Attends professional events including trade shows, conferences, and meetings.*
    7. Plans, organizes, and leads weekly sales meetings.*
    8. Supports sales directly by participating in the selling process as warranted.*
    9. Holds occasional strategy discussions and meetings with director of sales and vice president of marketing.*
    10. Travels on behalf of CPA.com as needed.*
    11. Collaborates effectively with the sales operations, product sales, customer support, marketing, finance, and corporate operation functions.*
    12. Responsible for sales pipeline reporting, review, and driving of sales through managing the prospecting, advancement, and closure activities of the account management team.*
    13. Contributes to the creation or sales process documentation and adherence to CPA.com sales processes and procedures.*
    14. Manages onboarding and development plan of new hires.*
    15. Provides management support to the director of sales.*
    16. Holds weekly one-on-one meetings with all direct reports.*
    17. Works closely with CPA.com executive team to prioritize and execute sales and product focuses.*
    18. Responsible for coordination of customer facing sales activities to support bringing new products and services to market.*
    19. Collaborates with sales operations manager and product sales manager for sales department training and departmental communication.*
    20. Participates in weekly sales management meetings with director of sales, sales ops manager, and product sales manager.*

    Manages four to eight non-supervisory employees in the Sales Account Management Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    Education and Experience

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and four to six years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Computer Skills

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, human resources systems, and contact management systems.

    Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities

    Experience with solution selling systems as SPIN, Sandler, Selling Through Curiosity, or other professional B2B sales methodology
