Responsible for developing and updating workshop, webinar, and self-study collateral on identified topics by performing the following duties.


Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Analyzes and applies trends and best practices in learning technologies and instructional design.
  1. Creates effective presentation materials, including slide decks suitable for both in-person and online learning.
  1. Visualizes instructional graphics, the user interface, and the finished product.
  1. Creates effective learning workbook and worksheet materials.
  1. Creates engaging learning activities and compelling course content.
  1. Creates supporting material and media.
  1. Reviews and updates existing course materials for quality and relevance.
  1. Uses set instructional end goals and create content that matches them.
  1. Maintains project documentation and course folders.
  1. Provides exercises and activities that enhance the learning process.
  1. Devises modes of assessment, such as polls or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course.
  1. Reviews materials and instructional modality for ADA compliance.
  1. Works with subject matter experts to identify the target audience’s training needs.
  1. Reviews materials and instructional modality for diversity, representation and inclusion.
  1. Translates course content into graphics suitable for use by marketing.
  1. Serves as workshop moderator as needed to support technology for learners.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, project management software, Adobe and Microsoft PowerPoint.



Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.) from four-year college or university; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Specialized Training:

  • Previous working experience in curriculum and instructional design.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design models.
  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills.
  • Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge.
  • Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator)

Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:

  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio and video scripts.
  • Ability to translate ideas and concepts into visual elements, graphics, and infographics.
  • Self-management skills; ability to manage projects on deadline with little supervision.
  • Basic project management skills.
