Summary

CPA.com is seeking an Account Manager to join our Sales Organization.  This role will be responsible for developing strong executive and partner-level relationships and advancing digital transformation within the top 500 accounting firms.  CPA.com is a dynamic and fast-growing organization that helps empower accounting firms and finance teams transform practice areas for the digital age. 

Key Responsibilities include the following. Other responsibilities may be assigned. 

  • Sales Goals: Meet or exceed quarterly new business sales goals and KPIs.  *
  • Value Proposition: Communicate and effectively articulate the CPA.com and partner value propositions and industry trends related to digital and practice transformation occurring in the accounting profession.  *
  • Client Engagement: Facilitate and lead conversations with prospects and customers to help inform the firm’s strategy, execute strategic account plans, and perform professional presentations on CPA.com solutions.  *
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong, trusted advisor relationships with executives, partners, and key stakeholders across the firm.  Leverage existing relationships to expand the CPA.com portfolio within all firm’s practice areas.  *  
  • Strategic Account Planning:  Prepare and execute strategic account plans in collaboration with a team of subject matter experts (SMEs).  *
  • Collaboration: Ability to work with partner sales organizations to advance their growth strategies by amplifying the partner’s value proposition, bringing credibility to their decision and helping firms think broader.  *
  • Cross-Selling: Build a sales pipeline by identifying and cultivating cross-selling opportunities within all practice areas.    *
  • Account Management: Serve as the lead point of contact for customer account management.  Ability to present complex ideas, strategies, and solutions confidently.  *
  • Communication: Report on the progress of initiatives and strategic account plans to internal SME and leadership in a clear and concise manner.  *
  • Solution Delivery: Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions to firms.  *
  • Feedback and Collaboration: Document and communicate solution feedback from customers to internal SME and partners for enhancements.  *
  • Sales Technology Usage: Leverage sales enablement technology effectively for tracking activities, creating one to many and personalize outreaches and analysis of firms solution portfolio (e.g., Microsoft Office365, SFDC, Tableau, SalesLoft).  * 
  • Travel: Occasionally travel, including overnight stays.  *

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office365, CRM(Salesforce.com)

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) from four-year college or university.

Specialized Training:

Sales process training (Sandler, Challenger, Solution Selling, GAP selling)

 

Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:

  • Strong oral, written, visual/presentation communication skills
  • Ability to successfully quarterback to drive results both internal to CPA.com and external partners and clients
  • Comprehensive knowledge of business products and processes
  • 3+ years sales experience. Accounting profession or technology company experience is a plus.
  • Ability to learn and embrace new sales enablement technology
  • Ability to achieve quarterly quota expectations
  • High level of professionalism
  • Disciplined time management and prioritization skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-moving start-up like environment
